| Rosemary and Catherine extend a warm welcome to those looking for somewhere to stay in Perthshire. Our aim is to look after you and to provide you with quality and comfort. We are just off the A93, and ideally situated for touring, sightseeing, walking, sports and shopping.
Built in 1893, Glenshieling House is a beautiful Victorian Villa: listed for its local architectural significance. It sits well back from the main road in a peaceful location nestled in almost 3-acres of mature garden and woodland with private parking space.
It has five rooms: three double and two superior all of which are ensuite. One superior room has twin beds but also converts to a king-size. The other has a double bed, single bed plus a drop-down single and will sleep 2, 3 or 4 people. All the bedrooms have tea and coffee making facilities, remote controlled TV’s, clock radios and a hairdryer.
Catherine does the cooking and believes in using fresh local produce wherever possible. The breakfast menu is varied and is served in the stylish Dining Room with its views over the front garden. The Lounge has been restored to its former glory and features an open fire for chilly winter evenings. You can also choose to have a relaxing drink in the well stocked Conservatory Bar with its selection of fine malts.
The House is not suitable for children under the age of 11 but sited within the grounds there is a self-catering Victorian Lodge. It comfortably sleeps five and has a fully equipped kitchen/diner, sitting-room, shower room, bathroom and two bedrooms. One has a double and a single bed, the other has two single beds. The Lodge has its own private parking area.
Both properties are non-smoking. Please do not hesitate to ask about short-break packages.
