| Felin Newydd is a beautiful country house located at the foot of the Brecon Beacons and the Black Mountains. The house is surrounded by its own wonderfully wild gardens and parkland.
You can hire the house and its facilities for your exclusive use for any type of function; be it a wedding, anniversary, seminar, exhibition or just a house party in the country. If you do not want to be left to your own devices in peace and quiet we can provide you with authorised caterers, house staff, lists of local activities and other services, arrange specific events, fireworks..... among dozens of possibilities. We are here to help you design your very own Felin Newydd House experience.
Felin Newydd House has undergone a complete restoration to make it the perfect place for you to use as your own country house home for a party, a weekend, a week, or even longer. This beautiful home has been given a new lease of life so that guests can have the pleasure of staying in a comfortable large historic country house as if it were your own.
So far the house has been used for dinner parties, anniversaries, shooting parties, weddings and good old-fashioned weekends in the country.

Things To Do

| The close proximity to the Brecon Beacons National Park and the Wye and Usk Valleys mean that most rural activities are available including hunting, shooting, fishing, horse riding, paragliding, regular gliding, climbing, gorge walking, white water rafting, clay pigeon shooting, motoring along the wonderful mountain roads or simply sitting on Llandefalle Common under the Red Kites and Buzzards watching the Welsh Mountain Ponies in their natural habitat. It is recommended that the latter exhausting activity be experienced with the following essential equipment: 1 large piece of Welsh cheese, a loaf of the local malted granary bread and at least one fine bottle of red. |

Hay-on-Wye 15 mins, Builth Wells 20 mins, Cardiff 1 hour, Bristol 1.5 hours, Birmingham 2.5 hours and London/Heathrow 2.5 hours. |
