| Welcome to Beach Lodge Guest House
An excellent family run 4 star non-smoking b&b. The house is a beautiful Edwardian property that has recently been refurbished whilst preserving its remaining original features and we achieved a 4 star rating in June 2006, which was our first season. Beach Lodge is located in a tree lined avenue just 5 minutes walk from Southbourne's Blue Flag Beach . Southbourne Grove , at the top of Grand Avenue , is within easy walking distance and offers a selection of shops, pubs and cafés.
Southbourne is only a few miles outside Bournemouth's vibrant town centre and a short drive from Poole, Christchurch and the New Forest . So, Beach Lodge is ideally situated for anyone wishing to explore the beautiful counties of Dorset and Hampshire and is in the perfect location for beach lovers as this stunning coastline has seven miles of award winning sands and spectacular views across Poole Bay . As of autumn 2007 Europe's first artificial surf reef will be operational and should provide some great surfing conditions here on the South Coast, we have secure storage for surf boards, wet suits & bikes.

Things To Do
|
| Southbourne is between Christchurch in the east with its historic 11th century Priory Church and castles, and Boscombe Pier in the west - At Boscombe is the site of Europe’s first artificial surf reef, openning Spring 2008.
Southbourne’s golden beach has Blue Flag status with no sudden shelves or rip currents, a KidZone scheme that reunites lost children with their parents and a popular beach front bistro. From Beach Lodge you can walk down the ‘zig-zag’ path or use the cliff lift. There are a number of excellent golf courses and watersports enthusiasts can enjoy surfing, kitesurfing, windsurfing, diving and sailing.
For walkers, the South West Coast Path ends here after travelling 630 miles from Minehead in Somerset. Also ending in Dorset, at Studland Bay, is the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site; travelling from Exmouth it covers 95 miles of stunning coastline and 185 million years of natural history!
