Set in the country only 2 miles from Moffat, our spacious bedrooms and peaceful lounge with log fire will ensure your stay with us is enjoyable and relaxing.

The house, which was built in 1840, sits in 6 acres of woodlands and has wonderful views over the Moffat Hills. All of the bright, airy bedrooms have super king-size beds with TV and tea and coffee making facilities. Each room has an en-suite toilet, hand basin and shower.


Marchbankwood House is an ideal base for exploring Moffat and the surrounding area. There are excellent walks and cycle tracks nearby. The location is well placed for touring with everything from cities, coastline, countryside and a wide variety of Visitor Attractions, all easily accessible on a day trip.

Directions

Leave the M74 motorway at Junction 15 (signposted Beattock, Moffat, Dumfries). Follow signs for Beattock. Drive through Beattock, passing The Old Stables Restaurant on your left and Beattock Primary School on your right. The road then bends round to the right, under a railway bridge passing Craigielands Caravan Park on your right. Follow this road for just under a mile. The drive up to Marchbankwood House is on your right, opposite a white cottage, follow the drive up to the top.
