Property Description

Glenavon is an attractive house designed in the Swiss style situated in the village of Newtonmore in the heart of the Spey Valley. Plenty of parking is available down the long drive and the guest’s entrance is to the right of the property. Accommodation comprises of 2 double rooms and one twin, which is on the ground floor, all rooms are en suite, and decorated to a high standard and have tea/coffee tray and TV. There is a cosy guest lounge for quiet relaxation with plenty of books for your use. A bright dining room where you can watch birds feeding while eating yourselves. We operate a no smoking policy throughout the building and are not able to accommodate children.

Things To Do

Activities. Wildcat Trail - a 10 kilometre walk around the outskirts of the village taking in rivers waterfalls and hills. Three Munros to conquer Carn Sgulain, A' Chailleach [Monadh Liath], Carn Dearg [Monadh Liath]. Golf a 5-minute walk to the course. Fishing 10 – 15 minute walk to the river Spey permits available locally. Tennis courts and bowling green are just across the road from us. Things to see. Highland Folk Museum, a working museum of the past, 10-minute walk north of us. McPherson Clan Museum (Free Admission), 10-minute walk south of us. Waltzing Waters, a water & light show to music close by.

1 hour South of Inverness, 2 hours North of Edinburgh and Glasgow. Leave the A9 signposted Newtonmore, enter Newtonmore and look for Waltzing Waters we are next door.
