| Our lovely Lakeland house was built nearly two hundred years ago - in 1816.
Built in the local slate, we are close to Lake Windermere - the largest lake in the Lake District.
The White Rose has 5 en-suite bedrooms - 4 double rooms and a bedroom with a double bed and a single bed.
All our bedrooms have en-suite facilities of a shower, basin and toilet - with complimentary toiletries and fluffy white towels!
Enjoy a delicious English breakfast in the sunny dining room whilst planning your day in this beautiful area.

Things To Do
|
| There is so much to do:
Take a trip on the lake steamers, enjoy the Aquarium of the Lakes and Brockhole- the Lake District National Park Visitor's centre.
We have so many excellent places to eat locally, that you will spoilt for choice!!
Bowness and Ambleside have really good cinemas. There is a swimming pool at Troutbeck Bridge, a couple of local golf courses, stables where you can book lessons or a ride out. There are cycle hire shops, companies offering brilliant full day and half day tours of the Lake District, hot air ballooning on summer evenings....the possibilities are endless!!!!
Visits to Grasmere, Keswick and the ancient town of Kendal are all within easy travelling distance of the White Rose.
Visit some of the other lakes and waters of the area like beautiful Derwentwater, delightful Grasmere, Coniston water - just to mention a few......take a walk over the lower fells, stroll through the Troutbeck valley, walk up to the waterfall near Ullswater, ramble through the small hamlets that are close by.
But above all. enjoy the peace and quite of this beautiful corner of England.

A lovely first floor double bedroom at the rear of the property. This bedroom has an en-suite shower, toilet and basin.
Toiletries are provided as well as fluffy white towels!
In the bedroom there is a colour TV, tea and coffee making facilities, a hairdryer and an alarm clock radio.
The bedroom has a fitted wardrobe and side cabinets as well as 2 chairs and a foldaway table. | Room Rate

A small double bedroom overlooking the back courtyard of the house.
This room has an en-suite shower, toilet and hand basin. Toiletries are provided as well as fluffy white towels.
There is a colour TV, tea and coffee making facilities, a hairdryer and an alarm clock radio.
The bedroom also has a fitted wardrobe and side cabinets.
There are foldaway chairs and a table available in this bedroom. | Room Rate

Bedroom 3 is the largest bedroom at the White Rose. It is a double bedroom on the first floor and the room also has a large sofa.
In the room, there is a widescreen TV and DVD player as well as an alarm clock radio, a hairdryer and tea and coffee making facilities.
The bedroom has a large fitted wardobe and bedside tables.
The en-suite has a shower, basin and toilet. Toiletries are provided.

Bedroom 4 is a light and airy second floor bedroom. The room has a double bed and a single bed and can therefore be used as a double bedroom, a twin bedroom or a family bedroom for three people. (Please note that we are unable to accept children under the age of 8 years old).
The bedroom has en-suite facilities of a shower, basin and toilet. Toiletries are included.

Directions

| Leave the M6 at Junction 36. Take the A590 towards the South Lakes.
On entering Windermere town, turn left just before the National Westminster Bank and travel through the one-way syatem.
At the end of the one-way syatem, turn left into Broad Street. We are at the far end of the road on the left. Have a safe journey! |
