The Old Mill Hotel
| The Old Mill is a small hotel with 9 en-suit bedrooms to sleep 18 guests in either twin or double rooms. Originally a farm house supplying corn to the windmill behind, it is situated high on the Yorkshire Wolds with views overlooking stunning countryside. Although seemingly isolated, its location gives a perfect base from which to explore both North and East Yorkshire. There is much to explore, from North York Moores to Dalby Forest, Heritage Coast and Bird sanctuary, steam railway to York & Beverley Minsters. Castle Howard, Sledmere House, Burton Agnes Hall and many others. Close to many golf courses such as the prestigeous Ganton Internationl, Driffield, Scarborough, Filey and Beverley. Horse racing meets at York and Beverley. Walking, hiking, cycling or simply chilling. There is a local shoot for pheasants, grouse, pigeons, deer, aaire and rabbits, these can be arranged for parties as small as five guests.
Our fully licenced bar and restaurant will be the perfect end to an eventfull day. All rooms have tea and coffee making facilities, colour TV, hairdryer, bath robes, toiletries and ironing facilities. Pets are most welcome and can stay in your room with you and sit in the public areas, unfortunately not in the restaurant. We are fully non-smoking, but have covered areas for those who still have the urge. A perfect setting to host your wedding, be it just the reception or the full ceremony. We have three rooms available to conduct civil ceremonies in, of varying sizes, but all small and intimate for upto 50 guests. |
