Things To Do

Princess Pocahontas is buried in the churchyard of St George's Parish Church in Gravesend and there is a statue of her there. Opposite Gravesend, a 5 minute ferry ride away, is Tilbury Fort where Queen Elizabeth 1 addressed her troops. Nearby Rochester has many Charles Dickens connections, a wonderful Norman castle and the 1000 year old Rochester Cathedral, all within easy walking distance of each other. Bluewater Shopping Centre is a short bus ride away and London is approximately one hour. Other castles and places of interest can be reached easily by car.

£60 - £64 per night, based on double occupancy.
Room 3

Directions

Arrive Gravesend railway station.
Depart right if Platform 2 (Clive Road) or left if Platform 1 (Rathmore Road).
Turn right at top into Stone Street/Wrotham Road.
Walk a short distance, then across Woodville Halls forecourt and right into Windmill Street (away from town).
Walk up Windmill Street for 10/12 minutes and 90, Briars Court, is on your right just over brow of hill.
This is uphill so you may wish to take a taxi.

By Road: Take the A227 from the A2, in the direction of Gravesend.
After ¾ mile cross pedestrian lights and proceed a further 0.2 miles and go straight over traffic lights.
After another 0.3 miles turn right at traffic lights into B261 along Old Road West (there is a Chemist on the corner).
Proceed 0.2 miles and turn left at traffic lights by the Old Prince of Orange public house into Windmill Street.
After 75 metres turn left into 90 Windmill Street – you are at Briars Court. Off road parking available.
